When we talk about the job of UI Designer, all that comes in our mind is a job with fun.
Well, “A job with fun”, isn’t this what everybody wants! But when we watch them doing some amazing stuff with a few clicks, this question always arises in our mind “How did she/he do that?”
I remember the beginning days of my job when I didn’t have good knowledge about UI designing and the tools. I used to sit along with my senior designers. Whenever I peeked inside their laptops, I was always amazed by their designing skills. It was like — isko aise click kia , usko Yaha se move Kia our bass ho gaya. But one question always hit my mind, would I ever be able to do that too?
But now when someone peeks into my designs with the same expressions, I always say, If you love creativity, playing with elements and love the designs of mobile apps, then yes you can do it too.
If you observe the mobile applications when you use them, or you ever think that this app can look better, then yes you can start your career in UI designing. Let’s start with the basic questions.
Which tool is good for a beginner?

Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, xd or sketch or Figma….Confused huh?
Basically, all designing tools are almost the same, if you are good at any one of them, you can work on any tool. As a beginner, you can start with adobe illustrator/photoshop. It comes with 30 days trial for both Windows and MacBook. Or if you had already used those 30 days, you can work on Figma — it’s free and has some advance feature of sharing your designs. The only thing is you cannot use it without the internet.
How to start?
Now as you know on which tool you can start your designing, the second thing is how to learn these tools? So for that, you can watch some YouTube tutorials or online courses like Udemy or Coursera. Or if you want deep knowledge of UI designing, you can join offline classes too. If you are learning it via online tutorials, start making the same UI that they make in the tutorial. After that, you can make some simple UIs the same as the one you’ve learned.
What next?
Now when you have designed some simple UIs, you can either start making the similar screens of any mobile app or you can make your designs. Just make some simple UIs on paper and then try to make them with a tool. This will bring confidence to your designing.
This Quarantine maybe it will be helpful for you in starting your career as a UI designer.
